The Silver Cloud Hotel @ Ruston Point in Tacoma was mostly an excellent choice. It overlooks the water and while overpriced for the area, it was a good choice for our belated anniversary trip. The room was very well equipped and the bed was comfortable. We stayed in an upgraded room that had a soaking tub which was a great thing after walking around Point Defiance Zoo and Northwest Trek Wildlife Park. The other unique fact was that the ice machines had filtered water to fill water bottles, very unique in my travels. The front desk staff was pleasant but not particularly helpful. My only real complaint is that we requested a high floor after reading reviews that it can get noisy on the weekends. We got a room on the second floor and the reviews were right it was noisy both morning and evening. The rooms seemed isolated from the other guests but noise outside the hotel was annoying. Finally the Valet was awesome and fast but very expensive. I recommend the hotel for the rooms and view but don't expect any accomodation for special requests and on the weekends expect to be up way too early.

We stayed here for my birthday this week and it was an amazing stay. The hotel itself and rooms are far nicer and cleaner than I could have imagined. The room was water view, beautiful and spacious. It had a wet bar which was nice and the toilet in a separate room from shower. The tv was huge and the bedding was crisply white. Shower was spacious and has great water pressure and never ran out of hot water. Miguel at the front desk was super helpful and friendly upon check in to start us off right. Valet and bellhops were helpful and kind. The pool is amazing! Small but nice. There were more small kids than we liked because they were noisy and splashing but too be expected I suppose. The chairs were clean and plentiful and they had lots of nice outdoor couch style seating as well. We were there on sunny 72-78 degree days and the pool was plenty warm and sunny. We really enjoyed our time there! While we loved the stay and will be back, four stars is because: 1. There is no affordable food option at the hotel. It would have been nice to have a coffee stand, a deli or smaller quicker restaurant. Copper and Salt while nice is pricey and doesnβt have a lot of variety. Breakfast should

My boyfriend and I stayed here June of last year and we had a wonderful romantic and memorable trip. We got a room with the jacuzzi tub overlooking the water, which we still talk about how much we enjoyed. The hotel is very clean, accommodating and on the higher-end scale. We got pedicures on our last day, and the two women who did our feet were wonderful ladies who we had a great conversation with. It was also my boyfriendβs first pedicure, so thanks for making it so nice for us. When we left the spa, they sent us away with a bag of little cosmetic presents and a hand written card as the next day was my birthday. I thought that was a wonderful touch. We frequented the bar/restaurant and they gave us two Silver Cloud pens to commemorate our trip. The bar and restaurant are definitely on the more expensive side, but that is what you pay for when you want a quality experience like this. We will definitely return, we recommend it to people often, and Iβm excited to try the location in Seattle as well.

The good: the hotel was very pretty, the check in staff was very friendly and the hotel is very clean. The bed, the linens were so soft and the mattress and pillows very comfortable. The not so good: the air in the room barely moved when the air was on. Turned the thermostat down 3 degrees and the temperature did not change all night. It was too hot. With it being cooler outside than the room I couldnβt imagine how hot it would have been if it was hot outside. Asked the staff to check into it. Not sure the outcome only stayed overnight. The only way to park is valet which is $38 a night while we were there. The street parking and deck have time limits. The spa is closed on Tuesday. The 30% of the room rate for incidentals is a little high. A lot of the places by the hotel on Monday were closed inside the market. Our view was an old parking deck. Not very pretty unless you have the water view. Overall very nice hotel, just hate that a cheap hotel by the airport has a better air conditioner than a luxury stay and was quieter than the heavy room doors that wake you up when people enter and exit their room.
